A Great Smile Starts with Your First Visit
Your new patient visit will last about 1 ½ hrs.  Dr. Flower will begin by reviewing your health and dental histories.  Then he will get acquainted with you in one of our non-clinical rooms that provides a relaxed setting for sharing any concerns you have.  Your next step is a quick tour of the office and introduction to our team members.  We will take an x-ray of your entire jaw before escorting you to one of our comfortable treatment rooms where we will take any necessary additional xrays.  While examining your teeth, Dr. Flower will use a small video camera to take pictures that let you see the fine details of your teeth and gums.  He will perform a periodontal evaluation, bite analysis, tooth-by-tooth assessment and a visual oral cancer screening,   To check for cavities, he may use a DIAGNOdent, laser that quickly and precisely identifies tooth decay and eliminates the guesswork often involved in the diagnosis of small cavities.  After gathering all this information about you, Dr. Flower will let you know what he has found and what it means about the condition of your oral health.

After you and  Dr. Flower get a clear understanding of your condition, he will let you know what, if any, treatment he would recommend.  Our goal is to help patients reach a state of oral wellness so that all they require are regular check-ups and cleanings.  If you haven’t reached that stage yet, he will present a  personalized treatment plan that is designed to rejuvenate your oral health and optimize your smile.

There is no need to be embarrassed or reluctant to seek dental treatment anymore.  No one here will criticize you or give you a lecture about the condition of your teeth.  We see people like you every day, good people who for one reason or another, have been unable to get the care they need.  We're just glad you found us.

Our front-office coordinator  will help you schedule your next appointment before you leave.
