Personal: My wife, Bobbie, and I have been happily married for many years and have a beautiful daughter, Chloe and a son, Nicolas, who lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, Sarah. We have a dog and a cat at our household that is less than a mile from the office. I am pleased to call Carrollton my hometown. In my spare time, I enjoy watching Dallas Cowboys & A&M football games, listening to live music and traveling anywhere that has a beautiful view.
Education: Before becoming a Dentist in Carrollton TX, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 1980 and then graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1985. As a proud Texas Aggie, I worked near Fort Worth before starting Flower Dental in Carrollton in 1999, .
My Dental Focus: I favor a minimally invasive approach to dentistry and focus on prevention and the preservation of tooth structure as much as possible. Using state-of-the-art techniques and technologies allows me to eliminate “guesswork” in assessing the condition of my patients and subsequently, to provide treatment that is effective, comfortable and affordable. I strive to provide exceptional dentistry and improve the lives of patients of all ages.
Your health and satisfaction are my top priority. Caring for my patients includes respecting that each has unique desires, concerns, and budgets. I am committed to helping patients understand any options that are possible for their care and then helping them find affordable means to receive the treatment they want and need.
Emphasis on Overall Health: At Flower Dental, we work hard to promote total health and wellness in Carrollton, Texas, and surrounding areas. Considerable research shows how the health of the mouth affects the overall health of an individual. For instance, gum disease can increase your risk for cardiovascular disease, bacterial lung infections, stroke, pregnancy complications, and even Alzheimer’s disease. In turn, diabetes, osteoporosis, and medications can increase your risk for developing problems in the mouth. Furthermore, the underdevelopment of the upper and/or lower jaws can directly impact sleep-disordered breathing which can result in any number of physical, behavioral and cognitive conditions. My team and I are committed to understanding and supporting your dental and overall health.
Dental technology and techniques are rapidly progressing so that we are now able to do things beyond our imagination only a few years ago. I am excited about keeping up with those developments by regularly attending advanced training with leaders of the profession. This is part of my commitment to providing exceptional dental care for Carrollton ,TX and the surrounding areas.
